The Swoon got down with Seohyun and Lee Jun Young of the S&M-themed Netflix film Love And Leashes for an interview.
The subject of relationships came up naturally, and the Girls’ Generation member even shared her opinions on marriage proposals, particularly public ones.
Some individuals love to be noticed, but Seohyun is not one of them. She doesn’t want to be proposed to in front of a crowd because there’s always the risk of her declining her spouse. It would be humiliating to reject him in front of a large group of strangers, but lying and taking it back afterward would be far more damaging.

Seohyun said: “Not in front of an audience. No, I’m not sure. Saying no, especially in front of a throng, would crush his heart. But I can’t say yes and then later pretend I didn’t mean it since people are watching. I’m afraid I won’t be able to accomplish it.”
Seohyun feels that having the blessing of many people would be “great” as long as she and her spouse trust each other. She described it as something that many ladies wish for.
She said: “However if he asks me to marry him on the idea that we already have trust in one another and are ready to marry, a proposal with many people’s blessings would be wonderful as well. That is something that many ladies wish for.”
