Adonis, Drake’s 4-year-old kid, is demonstrating his multilingual abilities!
The 35-year-old rapper uploaded a cute video of himself and Adonis enjoying quality time together on Instagram on Friday. The father-son combo talk about their heights in the video before Drake’s young one shows off his French-speaking skills.
Adonis asks Drake if he’ll be “far larger than me” in the video, to which the “One Dance” singer answers, “I don’t think so, you’re very tall.”
When Drake asks Adonis whether he thinks he’ll one day be as tall as his renowned father, Adonis responds, “Yes, indeed! I’m going to get old.”
Adonis, whose mother is a Frenchwoman named Sophie Brussaux, then asks Drake if he wants him to educate him “en français.” Adonis speaks French as his father repeats each word back to him as Drake says, “Yes, please.”
Drake asks Adonis what he said at the conclusion of the phrase, to which his little brother responds, “I said, ‘When you’re older, you’re all broken, and you’re going to transform back into space.'”
Drake, on the other hand, has reservations about his son’s translation. “Did you actually say that or are you just making stuff up?” he wonders. As Drake assures him, “You’re a funny person,” a smiling and shy Adonis maintains mute on whether or not he had strung a string of words together.
“I’ve traveled around the world three times, and I mean it…” Drake used a phrase from Clipse’s song “Hot Damn” to caption the wonderful bonding moment with his baby.
