Kanika Kapoor, a Bollywood singer, made news after she was diagnosed with Coronavirus in March 2020. The singer afterward suffered a lot of outrage on social media after she was accused of bypassing the screenings at the airport after returning from the UK, putting numerous people’s lives in danger since she attended an event while she was coronavirus positive. Kanika posted a letter on her official Instagram regarding all of the hate and hostility she faced throughout those days.
The following is a letter she posted on her official Instagram account:
“In the year 2020 On March 14th and 15th, I went to a friend’s lunch and dinner. There was no party held by me, and I was in perfect health. I got symptoms on March 17th and 18th, therefore I asked to get tested. I was tested on March 19th, and when I was notified that my test was positive, I elected to go to the hospital on March 20th. I was released after three negative tests and had been at home for 21 days. I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the physicians and nurses who have taken such good care of me during this difficult time. I hope that everyone can deal with this situation honestly and sensitively. Negativity directed towards a person doesn’t change the truth”
Kanika Kapoor was being treated at a private hospital in Lucknow for COVID-19. On April 6, she was released from the hospital after fully recuperating from the infection. Kanika’s message had become popular on the Internet, and the reaction from social media users had varied.
