If you’re a fan of American Idol, you might recognize Trevor Holmes’ name. That’s because when he auditioned for season 16, Katy Perry had a huge love for him. Now, on ABC’s new show The Bachelor Presents: Listen To Your Heart, Trevor is seeking love.
Katy stated Trevor was “very attractive” when he walked into the judging room for his American Idol audition. Trevor admitted to having a crush on Katy. It appeared like they were both attracted to each other. The only difficulty was that he had a girlfriend at the time, Sierra. With the three of them, it formed a “love triangle,” as he put it. During Hollywood Week, Katy playfully sobbed over Trevor’s performance and even had a funny staredown with Trevor’s girlfriend. What an embarrassing situation!
Trevor was eventually sent packing after failing to make it through the live shows. Ironically, Katy was the one who broke the news to him. She got the impression that he was lacking the glimmer that she saw in his eyes during his performances. In a TMZ interview, he stated of his experience on “Idol,” “I got to sing in front of the world and it was wonderful exposure so I basically have nothing terrible to say about it.” Trevor also expressed gratitude to Katy for launching him into the spotlight. Clearly, there are no resentments between the two musical geniuses.
