It’s difficult to keep up with the biggest hits of the year with so many fresh K-pop musicians to stand. But don’t worry, we’ve thought of everything. Fans from all over the world have ranked in the top 2022 K-pop songs.
A few growers were seen in April. Cupid by DKZ wormed its way onto our playlist because of its catchy hook. The X-Ray of GHOST9 improved over time as well. Last month, though, there were plenty of duds. We’ve had enough of shouty boy band recordings and are in desperate need of more substantial melodies. We want the retro trend in the music business to move away from quiet city pop and embrace the era’s more explosive characteristics.
Anyway… April followed in the footsteps of the previous months. We had a number of good songs, but none that stood out. We saw several industry legends return (Bigbang, PSY, Onew), as well as a few debuts. However, the majority of April felt insignificant.
We have hope for the month of May, as depressed as we are about 2022. We’re keeping an eye on a couple of key comebacks. Some of our favorites are returning, and we’re hoping they’ll finally get the year started.
This list features the best of the best in the K-pop landscape, whether it’s music from big K-pop groups like BTS or TWICE or neglected groups who deserve more attention. Collaborations with Western singers are also featured in some of the biggest tracks. Start adding these songs to your playlists from our list of the best 2022 K-pop songs!
