How two hip-hoppers Divine and Naezy went from rap to riches 1

Divine and Naezy are the two top-of-the-class artists in the hip hop world, both India and abroad. These two names have made it from nothing to now everything that they have and the fame they have earned. From once rapping about the city and simpler things about the gullies and chawls to making waves internationally by their electrifying lyrics about various issues, like politics and poverty, is indeed a fascinating and inspiring journey.

These boys have literally risen up from the chawls that they grew up in but like every successful artist ever says, they never forget their roots. Rapping about the slums and choosing to highlight the problems of the commoners of India is what made them such a rage in the society and rack up fans in no time.

From being a show filler in colleges, Divine, has become a major artist in India and his “Jungli sher” has been able to garner over 1 million views. Also, he became the first rapper to rap freestyle in Hindi for the BBC 1 radio. Divine is now a rage amongst the youth and after the Bollywood movie ‘Gully Boy’ starring Ranveer Singh, the world of rapping has completely opened up to explore new horizons.

Naezy, also known as Naved Sheikh was very inspired by Sean Paul’s temperature at the age of 13. In 2014 he shot a video with zero budget, and uploaded it on YouTube which later gathered nearly 5 million views. His newest project Haq Hai has received 30,000 views in the short times-pan of 1 week and he is now very well received by millions of viewers. Divine and Naezy are setting an amazing example for the young rappers who want to follow their footstep and make their name in this world of rapping.
