In recent years, “genderless fashion,” particularly in K-Pop, has grown in favor. Several male stars, like TXT, have been spotted wearing costumes that are generally not worn by guys.
Yeonjun has been the most outspoken about it of all the members. He previously expressed his thoughts on the subject to Vogue Korea, asking, “Who’s to say if something is women’s or men’s clothing?”
And, according to his words, he doesn’t allow gender stereotypes to stand in the way of his passions! Here are five instances he wasn’t scared to be spotted in genderless attire, in no particular sequence.
1. This black dress
Everyone should have a little black dress in their closet, and Yeonjun is probably one of them. He stood strong and proud in a modest garment in a previous photoshoot for ELLE KOREA.
2. This corset
Corsets are often worn by women, but Yeonjun proves that they can be worn by guys as well. Just have a glance at him!
3. These high-waisted pants
Women’s fashion has been all about high-waisted trousers for years, while most guys still prefer low-waisted pants. However, Yeonjun isn’t one of them. He’ll wear anything regardless of gender standards as long as it looks decent.
4. This lacy dress
And while we’re on the subject of glimpsing beautiful, he looks really lovely in this white gown with lace and ruffles. The premise of this attire, according to the chairman of BIG HIT MUSIC’s Visual Creative Team, was a “ragged prince” who needed to be safeguarded. The team decided that the best method to convey this concept was to depart from the traditional image of a royal, thus the gown.
5. This pink top
Last but not least, Yeonjun looked stunning in a pink crop top that revealed his belly. There aren’t many males who would wear a shirt this colorful and short, so kudos to him!
