Ariana Grande continues to break records, earning her 20th Guinness World Record. The vocalist of “God is a Woman” now has the most number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100. ‘Positions,’ ‘Rain on Me (Lady Gaga featuring Grande), ‘Stuck with U’ (with Justin Bieber), and ‘7 rings’ and ‘thank u, next’ are the five songs that earned the 27-year-old her latest award.
“What makes Grande’s newest record achievement so remarkable is that she is currently the only artist in history to have done so,” says a source. On its website, Guinness World Records stated. “Her achievements are the result of her excellent progress in the entertainment industry, which she began in her teens.”
Mariah Carey, Drake, Justin Bieber, Travis Scott, and Taylor Swift are the musicians that have come closest to achieving this feat, each having three number one songs on the Billboard Hot 100.
The following are a few of Grande’s 20 Guinness World Records:
1. “7 rings” was the most streamed female single on Spotify in a week, with 71,467,874 streams for the week ending January 24, 2019.
2. She has the most Spotify followers (54+ million as of December 13, 2020).
3. With the songs “Thank U, Next,” “7 Rings,” and “Break up with Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored,” she has the fastest hat-trick of UK No.1 singles by a female artist — 98 days.
