The Blackpink girls are undoubtedly the most popular and celebrated K-pop girl-band that we have in the world. The amazing squad of Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rose have been winning hearts for a fairly long time, and every time they drop new songs and albums, the excitement of the Blinks is for real. From singing to dancing, they are supremely talented in every department of art and we simply can’t stop looking and admiring them whenever they are performing.
All you fans of Blackpink aka ‘Blinks’ know quite a lot about the girls and that’s true fandom indeed. But hey, did you all ever think what could possibly be the reason behind the name of the squad? Well today, we spill the beans.
As per the latest reports in eonline.com, last year around October 2020, during a live session with Jimmy Kimmel, the girls were quote as saying,
“Well, we kind of felt like there’s two colors that represented us the most ‘cause we’re very girly but at the same time we’re very savage too,” Rose explained for the group.
They added, “We have a song called ‘Pretty Savage’ and it kind of goes with ‘black pink’ and so we thought it described us the best.”
