Zain Javadd Malik, mononymously known as Zayn Malik, is one of the popular English pop and R&B music artists in the world. The singer initially started his career with the popular musical band named, ‘One Direction’ in 2010, after winning The X Factor along with his bandmates, at the age of 17. Zayn Malik remained as a member of the famous boy band for five years, till 2015. But later on, he moved to a solo and independent musical profession. Zayn Malik was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England on 12 January 1993. His father Yaser Malik is a British Pakistani and his mother, Tricia Brannan Malik, belongs to English and Irish descent. The singer is having an older sister named, Doniya, and two younger sisters named, Waliyha and Safaa. Zayn Malik had an Islamic upbringing, although he no longer identifies as a Muslim. He had plans to become an English teacher but became a singer later. He also did boxing, between the age of 15 and 17 years. Zayn also went to Lower Fields Primary School and Tong High School in Bradford.
