We’ll take a deeper look at just a few of the many renowned works of classical music in this list.

1.Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565 by J.S. Bach

Although the title of this Bach work isn’t the most appealing, we’re confident you’ll recognize the renowned start. Perhaps since it first appeared in the opening credits of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, it has been linked with dramatic or even terrifying moments in movies and popular culture (1931).

2.Bagatelle No. 25 in A minor, “Für Elise” by Ludwig Van Beethoven

Beethoven’s work was never published during his lifetime. In fact, it took forty years after his death in 1827 for “Für Elise” to be unearthed. As a consequence, no one knows who the title character Elise was. Some musicologists believe the title was mistakenly duplicated and that it was originally titled “Für Therese.”

3. Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor, Op. 27, No.2, “Moonlight” by Ludwig Van Beethoven

In contrast to “Für Elise,” Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata became a popular favorite during his lifetime and is now considered one of his most adored works. Beethoven dedicated his Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp Minor to Countess Giulietta Guicciardi, who studied piano with the composer, while he was in his early thirties.
