John Prine, an American folk singer, and composer, died from the novel coronavirus complications. He was known for an often humorous style of country music with elements of protest and social commentary. Prine, widely regarded as one of the most influential songwriters of his generation, was known for his witty lyrics that touched on topics such as love, life, and current events.

He was also recognized for his thought-provoking songs that addressed social issues. Or which recollect melancholy tales from his life. The singer battled cancer in 1998, and a part of his lung was removed in 2013, but he returned to what he loved doing the most and began his tours.

Prine’s wife and manager, Fiona, was diagnosed with coronavirus and quarantined in the house apart from him. Later, John Prine developed the symptoms of the COVID-19 virus and was on a ventilator. He had pneumonia in both lungs and developed some peripheral issues that were being treated with medications, including antibiotics. He passed away on 7th April from coronavirus complications.

He was 73. Two times Grammy winner John Prine was surely a fighter and one of his time’s outstanding singers and songwriters.
