Zee Bangla’s esteemed singing reality show, Saregamapa, is set to pay a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Lata Mangeshkar on her birthday. The show has planned special episodes to air on Saturday and Sunday, showcasing the contestants’ renditions of Lataji’s iconic songs.

A recently released promo video has given audiences a glimpse into the emotional episode. Contestant Tithi will perform “Biday De Ma.” The song will accompany a poignant presentation of Khudiram’s self-sacrifice and hanging, leaving the judges visibly moved.

Javed Ali was emotionally overcome, bursting into tears upon hearing Tithi’s soulful performance. Fellow judges Kaushiki Chakraborty and Antara Mitra also struggled to hold back tears. Shantanu Maitra offered comfort to Javed, embracing him in a heartfelt gesture.

This season of Saregamapa boasts a unique format featuring eight judges without mentors. The esteemed panel includes Shantanu Maitra, Antara Mitra, Imon Chakraborty, Raghab Chatterjee, Indradeep Dasgupta, Kaushiki Chakraborty, Jojo Mukhopadhyay, and Javed Ali. The judges have formed four teams: Jojo-Javed, Shantanu-Antara, Imon-Raghab, and Indradeep-Kaushiki pairings.
