Dreamcatcher surprised followers by launching personal Instagram profiles on January 13. The 5th anniversary of the group’s debut was commemorated by the account disclosure. All of the members have between 42 and 52 thousand followers at the moment. After five years with fans, the band surprised them with solo accounts as a way of moving forward in their adventure. For fans commemorating Dreamcatcher’s fifth anniversary, the group’s decision to open public individual Instagram accounts has proven to be the biggest surprise. The girl group debuted in January 2017 under the management of Dreamcatcher Company (previously known as Happyface Entertainment).
JiU, the group’s all-in-one leader who also acts as lead vocalist, dancer, and visual, dedicated her first photo to a photoshoot of herself sitting in cotton-made clouds. SuA, the lead rapper, and key dancer chose to commemorate the launch of her Instagram account with a series of photos showcasing her passion for photography. Yoohyeon, the lead vocalist, chose her first snapshot to be of something she enjoys the most: taking a walk in the woods. The idol even included the date and emojis of leaves and the sun in the description. Dami, the skilled primary rapper, shared beautiful photos of her relaxing in nature. The rapper’s photo, which has a simple message of a butterfly emoji, demonstrates the difference between her on-screen and off-screen personalities.
Siyeon, the lead vocalist, took an unusual approach by having her debut photo be of her neck tattoo. The star is certainly well aware of how much her tattoos are adored by her followers, and she opted to surprise them with another sight of them. Sub-vocalist Handong shared a dreamy shot of herself carrying a white lace umbrella. In the post, she acknowledged the fanbase, saying, “InSomnia, I’m here” with heart emojis. Gahyeon, the lead rapper, and maknae, startled fans by cutting her hair short. The majority of responses on Gahyeon’s post are on how the idol trimmed her long hair short and still looked stunning.
