Jisoo of Blackpink has been a Dior devotee in recent years, wearing Maria Grazia Chiuri’s designs on repeat and carrying a CD-covered It-bag on her arm at all times. So it comes as no surprise to the Blinks — Blackpink’s passionate audience – when Christian Dior announced Jisoo as its latest worldwide ambassador for both fashion and cosmetics on March 6. Despite the fact that Jisoo was unable to attend the resort 2022 Dior show in Greece, she made sure to “show up” virtually in a charming white costume complete with a traditional Dior handbag and unique lace-up boots. In honor of Jisoo’s appointment, the house issued an evocative portrait of her dressed entirely in Dior.
For her 26th birthday, Dior gave Jisoo an embroidered floor-length gown. She expressed her gratitude for the present on Instagram, saying she will “cherish it forever” and thanking creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri. Jisoo was the first member of Blackpink to wear Crocs, which she styled with her signature Bobby bag and slick turn-up jeans. By matching a floral rendition of the historic Lady Dior bag with a piece from the 2021 Cruise collection, the idol embraced Dior’s distinctive femininity. Jisoo wore a beautiful LBD with monogram trainers and a little tie-dye version of the Lady Dior purse in another Dior ensemble that day. The shot has since earned over four million likes on Instagram, making it one of the Blinks’ favorite Dior moments from Jisoo.
There isn’t a Dior item Jisoo hasn’t tried, from leather baker-boy hats to natty black ties. Jisoo’s best looks are usually when she combines Dior’s luxurious hallmarks with sporty pieces for a seductive high-low combination.
