Boy band BTS’s mannerisms have been discussed among themselves and as a group by manners coach Lee Sang Hwa, who has come to the conclusion that they are truly world-class. In his most recent episode, he finally discussed why BTS’s golden maknae Jungkook’s behavior was so inspirational and impactful while highlighting various video clips of his good manners. The first video he examines shows Jungkook cleaning up after a show. The coach claims that he discovered numerous instances of Jungkook picking up rubbish and other objects nearby while doing research and gathering video footage for the video. He was surprised by his acts because there usually has to be a motivation behind them. Picking up trash could be done for a variety of reasons, including making someone else’s job simpler or making the place cleaner. In Jungkook’s situation, he skips past the deliberation and immediately moves his body and takes action. People like Jungkook are able to inspire and motivate others in a positive way. He rewatches the clip to demonstrate how Jungkook’s activities inspire everyone around him to clean up after him. A staff member can be seen working on the stage light fixture with Jungkook. The manners coach highlights this point once more: Jungkook moves his body first when it comes to action or manners, even before considering why he should move. Because he is dressed nicely and the location is an award ceremony, this video footage is even more significant.

He gets down on one knee to assist the staff member, regardless of the setting or his attire. When it comes to etiquette, Coach Lee explains that there are two types of people: those who don’t like to get their hands dirty and those who do. In Jungkook’s instance, he simply has the type of disposition that allows him to get away with getting his hands dirty because he can wash them later. Not that those who are averse to getting their hands filthy aren’t polite; it’s just a matter of preference. Jungkook cleaned up cake crumbs that had fallen on the ground. Although you can plainly hear the staff telling him it’s okay; he keeps picking it up and insisting that it’s acceptable because it’s not sticky. In this clip, Coach Lee once more compliments Jungkook on his quick reactions. After their performance on stage, Jungkook gathered the equipment that was used. As you can see, Jungkook stays put in an effort to clear the stage. According to Lee, there are three levels of manners: someone who doesn’t clean up their own mess, someone who does clean up their own mess, and someone who cleans up someone else’s mess.

As evidenced by the footage of Jungkook attempting to clean up not only his own drum but also another’s, he performs at the top level. Lee adds once more that just because some members aren’t cleaning doesn’t imply they’re horrible people because there are staff workers assigned to clean the stage; therefore it’s not required to clean the stage. Jungkook is seen staying and scrubbing the stage because his acts just come naturally to him. When others are observing them perform something, most people might feel embarrassed. The fact that Jungkook makes this motion without hesitation demonstrates that he naturally exhibits these manners and that he is not acting for the camera.
