BTS’ Kim Namjoon, often known as RM (Rap Monster), is very much famous in the industry. ARMY admires the rapper and frontman of the global K-Pop success for his steady leadership, sympathetic disposition toward his team members, and emotive lectures about self-love and battling stereotypes. Of course, his flawless rapping and dancing abilities are the cherry on top. The group worships its leader and clings to his every word, as evidenced by the numerous films and lives. That doesn’t stop people from taunting him and calling him the ‘god of disaster’ because he’s clumsy behind the scenes.
RM has been using the power of words since he was a toddler. RM enjoyed composing poetry as a student and won various awards for it. After hearing Epik High’s ‘Fly’ at the age of 11, he discovered his love for hip-hop. He became interested in songwriting after discovering Eminem. By 2007, he had begun rapping in local amateur circles and had even made his first self-composed song. RM is adored by BTS and ARMY for always looking out for his teammates and ensuring that they are not physically drained by the constant flurry of performances and interviews, from protecting Jin on stage to giving adorable and encouraging group hugs to holding an exhausted V after a night of endless performances.
They also have his back, knowing how exhausting it is for him to continuously translate everything into English for them, particularly after a long day. In various interviews, the rest of the crew has acknowledged their feelings for RM and expressed thanks for the way he assisted them with speaking in English, among other things. Jimin told J-Hope after RM’s UN speech, “If we didn’t have RM, the notion of it simply kills me.”
