Shawn Mendes uploaded awkward photos and images of himself skating long before he attained the amount of stardom he does now.
Nevertheless, we were unable to locate any embarrassing images of the 23-year-old, but we did manage to locate a number of adorable selfies that will make you smile and show you how the celebrity has evolved.
For the first time, we encountered our favorite ‘Lost In Japan’ singer in quite some time, and he debuted his much, much longer hair length than we’re all used to. He was filming a video for the TIFF Tribute Awards announcing he will be performing. We’d argue that if he wanted to, he could have a full ponytail on the move thanks to his very healthy head of hair. Fans have been pleading with him for months to grow his hair out to this length, and Shawn has already admitted that he had to restrain himself from doing so. Lockdown seemed like the ideal opportunity to achieve this.
Shawn flooded his Instagram with photographs of himself and his buddies having a good time throughout the years 2012–2013. Mirror selfies and photos of the celebrity making silly faces were also common. Like most of us, the aspiring young pop artist had worn braces for a time and had a stunning smile that he couldn’t help but flash.
Shawn was already a brilliant Rockstar when he started to gain attention, and he rapidly exuded confidence as he gave interviews, appeared in public, and interacted with people. Shawn continued to take cheeky selfies even after he shot to fame, but he soon became more serious about his music career and developed a taste for vests when performing live.
By the time 2018 rolled around, the curly-haired hunk had worked on a number of projects and was dominating the charts. Shawn had to make minor style adjustments to maintain his dreamboat status, styling his black hair into a finely coiffed quiff in the manner of the 1950s.
Shawn has grown out his hair for a rougher, coarser ‘do while maintaining his signature look of vests and sleeveless shirts. He also has an incredible number of tattoos now.
