From Rihanna To Miley Cyrus: Did You Know These Celebs Had Indian Tattoos?

Did you know that these celebrities, like Rihanna and Miley Cyrus, all have Indian tattoos?

It is a well-known fact that both Westerners and Indians are enthralled and fascinated by one another’s cultures. Although they don’t follow us as closely as we do, their curiosity about our history and culture has always made me feel proud of the nation I call home. Having something permanently inked on your body denotes its significance in your life, and since it will be with you forever, it must be carefully considered. Well, despite what they say, you only carry your tattoos with you to the cemetery. Check out some well-known Hollywood stars who have Sanskrit and Hindi tattoos that are of Indian origin.

Rihanna: Rihanna had a Sanskrit prayer tattoo along her hip in 2007. According to the Sanatana Dharma, the tattoo was supposed to represent “forgiveness, honesty, repression, and control.” Sadly, the tattoo’s translation was incorrect and read “long-suffering, truthfulness, self-control, inner peace, terror and fearlessness.” Her tattoo’s inaccurate translation is accompanied by the absence of the last words of the original prayer, which are “pleasure, pain, birth, death.”

Brandy Norwood: Brandy Norwood, an American recording artist and tattoo enthusiast who is fascinated by Indian deities, has Lord Ganesha’s face inked on her arm because she thinks that his presence will remove all of her hurdles and turn all of the bad energy into positive energy.

Brittany Snow: No, that is not the name of her boyfriend, husband, or son; she chose to have the word “Abhay” tattooed on her because she feels fearless.

Angelina Jolie: Numerous tattoos on Angelina’s body are inspired by her children and her religious views. She bears a Pali Buddhist inscription that says, “May your foes flee from you.” May you always own any wealth you may acquire. Your attractiveness will rival Apsaras. Many people will surround you on all sides, serve you, and defend you wherever you go.

Miley Cyrus: She is well-known for her absurd avatars and weird clothes, but what we haven’t seen is the tattooed ‘Om’ symbol on her wrist.
