Wheein of MAMAMOO released her second solo mini-album, WHEE, on January 16th, along with a music video for the title track, ‘Make Me Happy.’ Following this, Hwasa, a fellow MAMAMOO member, took to Instagram to congratulate her groupmate on her return. “I like everything you make; you have worked hard,” Hwasa wrote on her Instagram story about the artwork for “WHEE.”
Hwasa and Wheein had been best friends since they were in middle school. By spending time as trainees together and subsequently debuting in the same group as MAMAMOO, the two have shared numerous memories over the years. For their amazing vocals and musical abilities, both Hwasa and Wheein have gotten a lot of love and respect.
Hwasa’s thoughtful gesture drew a lot of attention because this is Wheein’s first solo appearance after leaving her previous agency and signing with The L1VE. Wheein is the only member of MAMAMOO who has decided not to renew her contract with RBW, but she will continue to promote the group as a whole.
