Ariana Grande is one of the highest-paid and most popular celebrities in Hollywood. The star singer has contributed marvelously to the music world over the past few years. She started with songs like Problem, The Way, and Focus. She has now started creating greater hits than ever, including God Is A Woman, No Tears Left To Cry, and 7 Rings.

According to Pink Villa, Ariana recently appeared on Eric Vetro’s new podcast, Backstage Pass with Eric Vetro, to discuss her journey from being a Nickelodeon star on Victorious and Sam & Cat to a recording artist with her unique style. She stated, “When I first released ‘The Way,’ it was both liberating and terrifying because I felt like I had to conform to a certain image since people knew me from the Nickelodeon show where I played a specific character.”

As reported by PEOPLE, the “34+35” singer went on to explain, “I was afraid to create the music I truly wanted and to express myself through my style, such as wearing thigh-high boots and having brown hair.”

However, it was a defining moment for the singer when she finally decided to release the song and remove the red hair. “That was a really big moment for me, putting out my first single on my first album and taking that risk from the way beginning, too,” Grande said. “It was a really incredible turning point for me.”
