Salman Khan is often regarded as the ‘Sultan Of Box Office’. Karan Johar had once said in awe of Bhai’s stardom that in order to make a film work in India, you need to have a good script, good director and good actors and if you can’t have any, just have a Salman Khan and your film is a guaranteed box office hit. Yes, that’s true. Such is the megastardom, clout and power of Bollywood’s beloved Bhaijaan, Salman Khan.

‘With great power, comes great responsibility’, a saying that’s been prevalent for ages now. But is it always so in Bollywood? We have seen several instances earlier where if the newcomers or the relatively new blokes of the industry rub the bigwigs and the ringmasters the wrong way, they have had to pay a hefty price. Well, Arijit too had to bear the brunt for a similar ‘mistake’.

So where did all of this start? It happened at the Star Guild Awards in 2014 where Arijit Singh won an award and was called on stage by Salman Khan who was hosting the awards night. Riteish Deshmukh was the presenter of the show and Salman in his candid and casual nature, had poked Arijit saying, ‘Why does he always sing songs that make people cry and fall asleep?’

It is in response to this, Arijit replied cheekily to Salman’s point saying ‘Aaplog ne sula diya’ which was taken by Bhai as an indirect dig towards Salman’s hosting skills.

This obviously didn’t go well with Salman and it was after this when the cold war started. However, the cold war was not out in the public for a long time until and unless in 2016 when Arijit Singh took to social media to publicly apologise to Salman for hurting his ‘sentiments’.

So guys, this is the reason behind the big fight between Arijit Singh and Salman Khan. Who do you think stands right in this fight? Is it Arijit or is it Salman Khan? Let us know your views in the comments below and for more updates, stay tuned to IWMBuzz.com.
