Famous singer of the music industry Arijit Singh was born on 25th April 1987. He was born at West Bengal to a Punjabi father and Bengali mother. His maternal side of the family was inclined towards music, and that’s how he developed a liking for the same. Being a Bengali is the reason why he sings so good in Bengali as well as Hindi.
Arijit Singh’s classical training began with the three Hazari brothers. He learned Classical music from Rajendra Prasad Hazari, Dhirendra Prasad Hazari taught him tabla, and he learned pop music from Birendra Prasad Hazari. Later, with the help of his mentor, he participated in a reality show and was seen by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Bhansali offered him his first debut for the film Sawariya, but the song was removed from the final cut. His first debut hence came with Mahesh Bhatt’s film Murder 2. The song Phir Mohabbat was tremendously popular and loved by the masses, followed by another hit Tum Hi Ho.
Arijit Singh is a timid and private person, and so he doesn’t give many interviews and is extremely camera shy. He has performed numerous live shows. He is a really simple and generous person; therefore, he travels using public transport despite having several luxurious cars.
