K-Pop is becoming more and more well-liked every day. Plenty of Korean female groups are gaining in popularity each day, and they have thousands of followers all throughout the world. Although there are numerous K-Pop girl groups, the eight listed below are thought to be the most well-known ones at the moment. Which of the aforementioned K-Pop girl groups is your favorite?
Blackpink
The highest-charting female K-Pop group, Blackpink (also spelled BLACKPINK), was created by YG Entertainment. Jisoo, Rosé, Lisa, and Jennie made their debut as a quartet in 2016.
Twice
Twice is the first K-Pop girl group to receive platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan for both their album and CD single in the same year! The girl group, formed by JYP Entertainment through the reality competition show SIXTEEN, made their debut in 2015 with the release of their mini-album The Story Begins.
Mamamoo
The retro, jazz, and R&B themes and vocal performances of Mamamoo are well renowned. They were founded in 2014 by the four members Solar, Moonbyuk, Wheein, and Hwasa. Their first EP, Hello, contained the retro-inspired funk song “Mr. Ambiguous,” which they debuted. It was regarded as one of the year’s top debuts.
EXID
EXID (short for “Exceed in Dreaming”) is an AB Entertainment girl group consisting of LE, Soliji, Hani, Hyerin, and Jeonghwa. The band made their launch in 2012 with the single “Holla,” but the group didn’t gain traction until 2014’s massively popular single “Up & Down.”
Red Velvet
The group with the most number-one albums, as well as those who have won several prizes for their music, dancing, and popularity. In 2014, Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, and Joy debuted as Red Velvet for S.M. Entertainment. (The group’s fifth member, Yeri, joined in 2015.)
