Alka Yagnik a notable Indian singer. Her mother was an Indian classical singer. Alka started singing at the formative of 6 for Akashvani (All India Radio) in Calcutta. She got a considerable amount of fame for her song Ek do teen from Tezaab (1988) and was also groundbreaking.
During her initial years, she was a big competitor for singers like Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle. She is considered to be the most powerful Bollywood singer after Asha Bhosle and has given several solos and playlist songs of almost more than 2,486 Hindi tracks giving a remarkable contribution to Bollywood soundtrack.
