As they walked the red carpet for the 2022 Oscars, Dame Judi Dench and her date created quite a stir. The actor, who has already won an Academy Award, was a nominee at the Oscars on Sunday, March 27, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Judi was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Belfast, but the award went to Ariana DeBose from West Side Story.
On the red carpet with her was her adoring grandson Sam Williams, who fans believe is the ‘long-lost twin’ of singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. Sam and his much-loved grandmother both looked the part as they walked the red carpet arm-in-arm, beaming for the cameras. With her Oscar nomination, Judi made history as the oldest Best Supporting Actress contender ever. After seeing flame-haired Sam, fans at home were taken aback by his resemblance to singer Ed, 30.
