Bilal Shaikh became Emiway Bantai, being inspired by two of his idol rappers Eminem and Lil Wayne. He is one of the few others who have made a name and space for themselves by uploading their work online and becoming famous with social media.
A kid who heard his friends singing Eminem’s rap and became inspired by it. He started researching and understanding more about rap and began to sing and juggle with words of his own. Many of his friends advised him to write a song of his own. And so his first English song was Glint Lock. But the song did not receive much appreciation because of his English accent. Later, his father advised him to sing in what he is comfortable in. And so his Hindi rap became his success story.
After the release of his first rap in 2014, Aur Bantai, there was no stopping for Emiway. The rap reached more than millions of views on YouTube, and hence he became immensely popular. Later on, a few hits followed like Machayenge, Phir Machayenge, and many others. He even had his Bollywood break for the movie Gully Boy, 2019. His perfection and juggle with words gained him immense popularity.
Bantai surely made our heads turn towards Hindi rap music, and his organic words made his raps more loved by the masses. He knows how to get the crowd to its feet and make them live the best times.
