Rapper Badshah has made a name for himself in the business and has given us countless upbeat singles such as Mercy, Kar Gayi Chull, DJ Waley Babu, Saturday Saturday, Wakhra Swag, Chandigarh Mein, Garmi, Paani Paani, Jugnu, and many more that consistently top the charts. Now, the rapper has made his worldwide debut alongside Latinx global superstar, music icon, and entrepreneur J Balvin and Tainy for the single ‘Voodoo,’ which was released today via Capitol Records. Meanwhile, Voodoo comes on the heels of Badshah’s most recent EP, Retropanda – Part 1, which was released last month. Tabahi and Jugnu are two of the set’s biggest hits.
J Balvin is recognized for songs such as Mi Gente, Machika, In da Getto, and others. He has been dubbed the “Prince of Reggaeton” and is one of the most successful Latin music musicians. Tainy, on the other hand, has worked with Bad Bunny, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Anuel, Rosala, Daddy Yankee, and many more to make songs. In addition, the producer was selected as one of Billboard’s Top Ten Producers of the Twenty-First Century. Badshah shared the song video on his social media earlier today, writing, “Ladies and gentlemen, please. VOODOO. It is now available. @jbalvin @tainy #voodoo #namastelatinogang EVERYWHERE “.
Voodoo is Badshah’s first serious collaboration with Latinx icon J Balvin. In an official statement, Badshah stated of the song, “J Balvin is like an inspiration to me, he’s been doing what I’ve been trying to do in my own space, and the way he’s carved a path for himself despite the language, despite the difficulties, really motivated me.”
