Suzy
Bae Suzy or Suzy was spotted and selected by JYP Entertainment in the strangest and most unusual way possible. While Suzy, who was auditioning for Mnet’s “Superstar K” was taking a washroom break during her auditions. Surprisingly, a JYP recruiter spotted her and instantly recognized her talent. She was asked to give an audition right there and was selected by JYP Entertainment.
Hongbinn
Hongbinn’s story has a touch of fate to it with an unusual side. Hongbinn was inspired to pursue a music career after he watched a non-celebrity perform at his school. He worked hard and gained himself a spot in Jellyfish Entertainment’s VIXX. As surprising as it sounds, the same person who inspired him to be a singer, was now his groupmate, Ken.
Sana
TWICE girls’ Sana was shopping with her friend at a mall when an agent from JYP Entertainment spotted her. However, Sana was skeptical of the recruiter and would not agree with him. It was only when the recruiter mentioned Suzy and Wooyoung who were already signed by the agency, did she agree to audition as she was a big fan of theirs.
Wooyoung
Wooyoung probably has the funniest selection stories of all the K-Pop artists out there. Wooyoung had his mindset on getting selected by JYP Entertainment. He was ready to do whatever he could to get recruited by them. So much so, that he auditioned for the Wonder Girls auditions that were happening. But of course, he could not make it as it was an all-girls group. However, the agency saw the potential in him and recruited him as a trainee.
BoA
K-Pop Queen BoA has an amazing recruitment story as well. She was accompanying her brother to a dance competition which he had participated in when she was just 11-years-old. But instead of her brother the judges spotted young BoA and selected her at SM Entertainment and the rest is now history.
