The Harry Styles cosmos is still expanding, and a part of you has undoubtedly been drawn into it by now, even if you’ve fought to resist it for a long time. This year, the English singer/songwriter will appear in two highly anticipated films; his nail polish company, Pleasing, is rapidly expanding; he was the first man to appear alone on the cover of Vogue, and the hype surrounding his shows regularly crashes ticket-selling apps. Styles is the most talked-about pop star on the planet on some days.
On other days, his music seems to be underappreciated by far too many people. He’s a pop sensation. A performer, A musicologist who specializes in the history of music. A style icon. A dangerous lunatic who delights in getting under our skin, destroying our expectations, and dancing on our insanity. And, honestly, let’s applaud him for it. He’s all of these things, but the most real, truest Harry is the one who pours his heart and soul into the music, as these songs demonstrate.
