During the ’90s, we can claim that the industry was dominated by the duo of Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu. Their voice was incredible and unbreakable. They together gave numerous hits that are now nostalgic. Their voice was the ruler of everyone’s heart. And so their era of the 90s could be claimed to be the golden era. Some of their hits as a duo were Chura Ke Dil Mera, Baazigar O Baazigar, Teri Chunariya, Ladki Badi Anjani Hai, Dil Ne Yeh Kaha Hain Dil Se, do I need to put in any more songs to make you believe their pair was incredible?
Sonu Nigam is the king of playback singing and Alka Yagnik, could we say, is the queen? They both together gave us a range of songs to groove on and become Deewana. Their music is enough to give goosebumps and their voice has won hearts all over. The duo has been at their best. With the changing music industry, their classical singing is something that will never be replaced. Alka-Sonu duets that we used to get lost to during the 90s are Suraj Hua Maddham, Deewana Hai Dekhi Bole Chudiyan, Pehli Pehli Baar Hai and the list is too long.
