Lata Mangeshkar is the star of the Bollywood music industry. But did you know that she didn’t attend school? She stopped after attending a day to school. There are many believed reasons as to why she must have stopped. Here are a few of those.
We all are well aware that Lata Mangeshkar started working after the death of her father at the age of 13. She was the eldest daughter in the family and someone had to look after the family after the demise of the sole breadwinner. And so she started as an actor and later became the one we all know a legendary singer.
Another story as to why Lata Mangeshkar never went to school was because… On the first day of school, Lata Mangeshkar was teaching singing to the children and when the teacher stopped her from doing so, she never went to school after that. Singing had been Lata Mangeshkar’s passion since her early days. And being stopped doing so, hurted her.
Lata Mangeshkar used to take her younger sister Asha Bhosle with her to school sometimes. And that was not permitted. As she was not allowed to get her sister to school with her, she quit school the next day!
