Lata Mangeshkar is one such gem of the music industry that needs no introduction. She began working at the age of 13 as a breadwinner for her family after her father’s demise, Dinanath Mangeshkar. She was trained by her father, and later she developed the skills by herself.
Lata Mangeshkar first received the job of an actor, and she was working in a Marathi play. Later, she started singing, but hard and loud vocals highly dominated the voice during those times. Therefore, Lata Mangeshkar faced rejections from many directors for her voice, which was too soft and nasal in contrast to the prevailing voice. But slowly and steadily, she made her way up the ladder and today is one of the most well-established singers in the Bollywood music industry.
