Music imitation or inspiration is nothing new and has been going on for a long time. Some musicians reproduce the entire piece, while others skilfully incorporate segments from other languages. Bollywood has never hidden the fact that it plagiarises the melodies of South Indian music. These songs, on the other hand, have become major successes. They may have been influenced by south Indian music, as many of their pieces have hints of it. So, here are some of Bollywood’s most popular songs that were blatantly plagiarized from South Indian music.

1] Hasina Pagal Deewani from ”Indoo Ki Jawani”

Mika Singh was reportedly inspired to write this song by the Tollywood classic Choopultho Guchi Guchi from the film Idiot. Shankar Mahadevan, the most popular singer of all time, sings the song, which was released in 2002. Late music director Chakri composed the music for this piece, while Kandikonda wrote the words. It also demonstrates that Bollywood does not wish to disguise its sources of influence. This current chart-topper has been accused of plagiarising a Telugu song.

2] Dhinka Chika from “Ringa Ringa”

Perhaps one of Salman Khan’s mega-popular songs was a rip-off. It was influenced by Devi Sri Prasad’s hit item number Ringa Ringa from Tollywood. Allu Arjun is featured in the Telugu song, which is sung by Devi Sri himself. In fact, they granted permission for the Salman Khan starrer to utilize the song in their film. To tell you the truth, it’s known as inspiration.

3] Pyar Pyar Pyar from Rose Rose

Do you recall this song from one of your favorite Akshay Kumar films? It was a smash hit, and people are still tapping their feet to the melody today. They had no idea, however, that this song had been copied. MM Keeravani’s Telugu song Rose Rose served as a creative inspiration for the song. SP Balasubrahmanyam and Chitra sing the song, which features Dr. Rajasekhar and Ramya Krishnan.
