According to the official website of Guinness World Records, the boy band set three new social media records in the previous month thanks to their devoted ARMY and pop fans throughout the world. BTS currently holds the record for the most Instagram followers for a music group. They have 60,151,959 followers on the social networking platform as of February 2022.

The group shattered its own record for accomplishing the feat. BTS shattered the record in April 2021, with a whopping figure of 40,220,226. BTS member V, in particular, broke two of his own records in just five hours.

V set the record for the quickest time reaching 1 million Instagram followers in December 2021, with a time of 43 minutes. He set the record for the fastest time to achieve 10 million followers on the network in 4 hours and 52 minutes.

BTS’s social media achievements do not end there. They also have the most followers for a music group on TikTok and Twitter. The lads have 45.7 million followers on TikTok and 44,167,059 followers on Twitter. One Direction previously held the position on Twitter, with 31,747,631 followers in 2017.

Most recently, “Butter” spent 18 weeks at the top of Billboard’s Digital Singles list, tying their own track “Dynamite” for the most weeks at the top. BTS currently has the most total weeks at No. 1 on the list as of Dec. 13, 2021, surpassing Taylor Swift.
