Zayn Malik is a British singer and songwriter who debuted at The X Factor, a British music competition, as a single contestant in 2010 at the age of 17.
He was unfortunately placed in a group alongside Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson because he struggled to find much success as a solo contestant on The X Factor. The British-Irish boy band One Direction was created by them collectively.
Malik experienced success and stardom alongside the other four band members as One Direction advanced on its path to becoming the biggest and one of the best-selling boybands in the world. However, the boy band’s future broke the hearts of millions of people.
In order to pursue a solo career, Zayn decided to depart One Direction in March 2015. All of the supporters were horrified and inconsolable as a result. He adopted the R&B musical direction, which is very dissimilar to the songs he sang while he was in the band.
After leaving One Direction, he released his debut solo album, “Mind of Mine,” in 2016. Zayn became the first British male artist to achieve the number one spot as a debut artist in both the UK and the US with these singles from his debut solo album, which also achieved the first spot on numerous charts. He has so far put out three studio albums.
Zayn has won numerous accolades for his great work, including two Billboard Music Awards for New Artist of the Year and an American Music Award, making him the only artist to do so.
