It’s been quite some time now that Indian cricket has been going through a bit of controversial phase. It all started when reports emerged about Virat Kohli apparently being replaced by Rohit Sharma as skipper in limited overs format. Although BCCI denied the same earlier, soon, Virat himself took to social media to announce that he will be stepping down as captain of the Indian cricket team for T20 format after the T20 World Cup.
Not just that, there were media reports that also hinted that Virat Kohli apparently wanted to replace Rohit Sharma as vice-captain of the team with KL Rahul. While a lot has been said and written, there’s no confirmation as such.
Recently, there were media reports that suggested that few players of the Indian team apparently complained against Virat Kohli’s attitude after the WTC Final loss in 2021. Reacting to the same, BCCI Treasurer Arun Dhamal was quoted by Times Of India saying,
“The media must stop writing this rubbish. Let me say this on the record that no Indian cricketer has made any complaint to the BCCI – written or verbal. The BCCI can’t keep answering every false report that keeps appearing. Who said that?”
