As per the latest reports in The Tribune and NDTV, former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh had been arrested by the Hansi police and later released him on interim bail in a case of allegedly making a casteist slur while referring to another cricket in an Instagram live event.
A Hansi-based resident, Rajat Kalsan, had lodged an FIR against Yuvraj Singh under various sections of the IPC and the SC/ST Act. Reports suggest that the cricketer has also approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking quashing of the FIR as he pleads innocence in the case.
