After the Al-Nassr contract, Cristiano Ronaldo and his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez are reportedly going to live in Saudi Arabia together, breaking the Saudi Arabia laws. As the law states no unmarried couple in Saudi Arabia can live-in together. And because CR and Georgina Rodriguez aren’t married but are living together for the longest time, it’s been marking headlines. And now that they have headed to Saudi, they would continue to do so.
However, the Saudi lawyers have stated that these laws regarding relationships in Saudi are no longer implemented strictly.
Viral Bhayani sharing the insight on their official Instagram handle, wrote, “Saudi Arabia’s laws strictly prohibit the cohabitation of unmarried couples, which means, live-in relationships are prohibited in the country. However, as per the reports, Cristiano Ronaldo is likely to stay with her partner Georgina Rodriguez in Saudi Arabia. As per some Saudi lawyers, these laws regarding relationships are no longer implemented strictly. #ronaldo”
Soon after the post circulated online, netizens came in to keep their opinions up front. One wrote, “This law is applicable for only Saudi arabians citizens…not for foreigners..and cr7 as a sportsman is in saudi for football.. that’s why it’s not applicable for him..”
Another commented, “Saudi Arabia is now a progressive country. Every country of the islamic world should follow her suit. ?”
A third user wrote, “Sometimes marriage is not necessary for 2 people to spend the rest of their lives together .. after all it’s all in the head nd heart to survive a relationship”
A fourth one added, “No one is breaking any law ure jus an attention seeker period”
Cristiano Ronaldo has approved a free transfer to Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. Within a week of leaving Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo was unambiguously identified as a player for Al-Nassr in the now-famous interview with Piers Morgan on TalkTV.
