As per the latest reports in Firstpost, Odisha-born Olympian Dutee Chand has claimed that she has been a victim of ragging by seniors during her stay at the Sports Hostel in Bhubaneswar from the period of 2006-08.
As per reports in Firstpost, she was quoted as saying,
“Didis (seniors) used to force me to massage their bodies and wash their clothes at the Sports Hostel.”
Not just that, the seniors also made derogatory remarks against her finances which was never apparently dealt with by the authorities. She further added,
“When I used to complain to the hostel in-charge, I used to be scolded. It used to take a mental toll on me. I was helpless at that time.”
