Novak Djokovic wins legal battle in Australia deportation case

A good news coming in for all fans of Novak Djokovic.

For a fairly long time since last week, there was an element of doubt regarding Novak Djokovic’s participation in Australian Open after he was detained by Australian Government to process his deportation. Reports in the media reveal that his vaccination status was the biggest reason behind the same.

Reports reveal that the ruling approving an agreement between the two parties, came five days after Djokovic was detained at an airport upon arrival on a flight to Melbourne from Dubai.

Djokovic arrived with a visa and a vaccination exemption to play in the tournament, which begins Jan. 17, but border officials cancelled the visa with the support of Prime Minister Scott Morrison. The authorities said that Djokovic did not qualify for an exemption from the requirement that everyone entering the country be fully vaccinated. It will be interesting to see what happens with the star Tennis player in the days to come.
