All fans and admirers of Shreyas Iyer must be extremely happy and proud at present as the man has proved his mettle in the Test format as well.
We have already seen Shreyas work hard and make an impact in limited overs cricket in both IPL as well as International cricket. And now, he has managed to hit his 1st Test century in his debut game against New Zealand at Kanpur. Very few Indian cricketers like Sourav Ganguly and Shikhar Dhawan have managed to achieve this feat of a century on debut. He scored a magnificent 105 (171) balls and it was certainly a crucial knock under pressure.
