The WTC Final between India and New Zealand has begun on a wonderful note. After facing a washout on the first day, team India were put to bat and their score read 146/3 at stumps on Day 2 after the end of 64.4 overs.
On Day 3, India were bowled out for 217. Day 4 got completely washed out due to rain and on Day 5, India bowled out New Zealand for 249.
On Day 6 (Reserve Day), India were bowled out for a score of 170 and they gave New Zealand a target of 139 runs in the second innings to win the first WTC. New Zealand managed to win the same and the final score for them read 140/2
