Harbhajan Singh and Shoaib Akhtar are two individuals who have been absolute matchwinners for their respective teams in the history of cricket. Both have had a lovely friendship off the field and their last crucial encounter was at the semi-final of the India Vs Pakistan game in World Cup 2011. India won the match and eventually the World Cup.
However recently, Harbhajan was quoted by Hindustan Times narrating an interesting incident about that time. Bhajji had said about how Shoaib Akhtar had asked for few tickets for the semi-final game which he had given to him. Bhajji further said that when Shoaib asked for tickets of the final, he cheekily replied to him back then saying,
“What will you do with these tickets? India will play in the World Cup Final. Still, if you need the tickets, I will give you.”
Well, absolutely hilarious banter off the field ain’t it folks?
