The match 32 of IPL 2020 saw a one-sided fight between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI).
Batting first, KKR posted a competitive total of 148/5. Decent attempts by Shubman Gill (21) and newly appointed captain Eoin Morgan (39) helped steady the ship. P Cummins’s flourish at the end of 53 meant some fireworks for the audience.
Chasing, MI always looked in control. The opening pair of R Sharma (35) and Q de Kock (78 not out) delivered the goods.
MI with some handsome batting by Hardik Pandya (21) chased down the score with 8 wickets in hand and more than 3 overs to spare.
MI moved to the top slot on the points table with the victory.
