Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) started their IPL 2020 journey in a rather disappointing note.
Playing their first match against Mumbai Indians (MI), the Shah Rukh Khan owned franchise put of a shoddy battle.
Batting first MI showed promise and posted a mammoth total of 195/5. Captain Rohit Sharma (80) and SA Yadav’s (47) partnership stole the show away from KKR.
In chase, KKR never really looked comfortable on the wicket. They ended with a score of 146/9. Mumbai Indians won by 49 runs.
TA Boult, JL Pattinson, JJ Bumrah, RD Chahar took 2 wickets each to restrict KKR batting.
