When it comes to entertainment and cricket both at the same time, one form that always manages to entertain one and all is IPL. Men’s cricket in IPL has always been very fascinating and entertaining and no wonder, we love every bit of it. IPL for men’s cricket started in the year 2008 and from there onwards, it has continued for all the good reasons to the best interest of one and all. Ever since BCCI announced the fact that women’s cricket is all said to take place from 2023, there’s been a lot of buzz about the same.

Well, as per the latest buzz, we have a special update for you. Reports in NDTV suggest that The BCCI, looking to auction five franchises for the upcoming women’s T20 league starting March 2023 by way of a closed tender, has kept the base price at Rs 400 crore (USD 50m approx.).
The cricket board has arrived at this decision by taking into account the value of the costliest franchise that was sold back in 2007-08 – Mumbai Indians at USD 111.9m (approx. Rs 446 cr) at Rs 40 / dollar.
