Shubman Gill is one of the most talented and admired young cricketers that we have in the Indian cricket fraternity right now. His talent came into limelight immediately after his successful display of cricket during the Under-19 World Cup and soon, he was picked by the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL to prove his mettle and talent on the big stage. In the ODI series against Zimbabwe, Shubman Gill has been absolutely fantastic in his game and no wonder, he has achieved success. But hey, who would have thought that he would have been successful in surpassing a record of the one and only Sachin Tendulkar? Well, he just did that.

In the third and final ODI against Zimbabwe, Gill smacked 130 off 97 balls where he also hit 15 fours and a six in an innings that oozed class. Gill’s gigantic efforts also helped him enter the record books. The right-hander from Punjab registered the highest score by an Indian in an ODI in Zimbabwe. Gill broke Sachin Tendulkar’s 24-year-old record where the legendary cricketer had scored an unbeaten 127 in Bulawayo way back in 1998.
