It’s been some time now that Sourav Ganguly has been replaced as BCCI President by none other than the 1983 World Cup-winning squad member Roger Binny. It’s been quite some time that speculations were rife about Binny replacing Ganguly at the helm of things and today, it officially happened. Soon after Binny replaced Ganguly, the former Indian Captain and 35th BCCI President reacted to the same. He was quoted by ESPN CRICINFO during a conference saying,
“I wish Roger (Binny) all the best. The new group will take this forward. BCCI is in great hands. Indian cricket is strong so I wish them all the luck.”
On the other hand, another big update that we have for you all is that Team India won’t be traveling to Pakistan for the Asia Cup tournament in 2023. The decision was confirmed by Jay Shah.
