The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner lifted the second international trophy with Argentina in a span of 11 months. Guess what? This victory also has a Diego Maradona connection to it. What makes this win all the more special for Messi is that the last La Finallisima holder was another Argentina number 10, one Diego Maradona.
